Incentives to the acquisition of medical oxygen, and closely connected accessories, ventilators, vaccine, medicines, etc. reg.

                                                         -::RESOLUTION::-

 In view of the unparalleled surge in a variety of cases of COVID-19 pandemic, the State of Gujarat is facing an acute shortage of medical oxygen and closely related accessories, ventilators, vaccine, drugs, etc. sizable amount of Corporates, NGOs and people are arising to assist the regime in its efforts to beat the Pandemic by the approach of procuring such material from foreign countries.

So as to encourage such efforts, it’s necessary within the public interest to incentivize the acquisition of things shown within the table annexed hereby, within the manner narrated below and subject to the subsequent condition:

 (i) By approach of reimbursing/giving grant in aid the integrated tax leviable under the Customs Tariff Act, 1975 (51 of 1975) already paid by the recipient on such foreign material; or

 (ii) By approach of direct payment of applicable integrated tax leviable under the Customs Tariff Act, 1975 (51 of 1975) on such foreign materials

Conditions:

 1) Such foreign material shall be given freed from value to the govt of Gujarat, hospitals managed by the state government, hospitals managed by local authorities or any Hospital/Institution permissible by the government to receive such material through Commissioner of Health, Government of Gujarat.

 2) Just in case wherever permission is granted to a hospital/institution not closely held by the government or agency, such foreign material can’t be sold or transferred by them while not previous permission of the government.

3) This resolution shall stay effective up to and inclusive of the the31st July 2021.

 The Commissioner of Health, Government of Gujarat shall act because of the nodal agency for implementation of this resolution.

This problem with the approval of competent authority on even range file of this Department.
